i’m not crying, you’re crying
Gotta give a massive shout out to my friend and stunning (former) colleague Jordan Schafer for recommending Dead Horse Point State Park at sunrise. I’ll admit I was a little wary when my alarm went off at 5:30a to drive (back) out into the dark desert. But it was incredibly worth it.
Sunrise to midday pics from DHP State Park…
It was unbelievably gorgeous. I didn’t want to leave and ended up staying over half the day. Feeling #blessed to have visited this park after the invention of the pano, a photo format highly suited to the sweeping views. I was quite literally awe struck.
Later, bc it was only noon and they are very near each other, I popped into Canyonlands. It was also great. But man. It was absolutely packed with people.
Turns out there’s very, very little on this planet that I’ll willingly wait in traffic for. Including some of the most stunning natural beauty on offer.
A Moab pickle pizza to round out the experience 🍕
CO next, by way of Arches. I don’t expect much internet so these are the last for now.
