On the one hand, you could reasonably call this a Linden Brophy appreciation post.
On the other hand, it’s also an appreciation post for Emily and Jim, Ithaca, the state of New York, impromptu lunch dates, homemade burgers, gorges, playing on playgrounds, Katelyn’s freshly baked loaf of bread, late night catch up around the kitchen table, public gardens, Whiskey the dog, dump trucks full of manure, exciting new land projects, French toast and coffee.
Above is Robert Treman State Park outside of Ithaca, NY. Jim and Emily live on site since Jim works there. My visit coincided with the start of the smoky days in New York, so the pictures are a little hazy but it was still so beautiful.
I somehow failed to get many pictures of the adults on this leg of the trip but it was absolutely great to catch up with them and also to become BFF’s with Linden. Huge thanks for hosting, Emily and Jim!
