departure day and some mojave wabi-sabi

I left San Diego on Monday having changed the itinerary completely on the fly on Sunday. Instead of a first stop in Zion, I decided to stay closer to home and somewhere car camping would be easier. This worked out great since I had my chosen campground all to myself in Mojave National Preserve and it was gorgeous.

Unfortunately it got very thunderstormy today, so now I’m in a Las Vegas Dennys, eating incredibly mediocre bacon and reconfiguring on the fly again.

First 24hrs have been eventful.
